There are four major regional service centers in Yosemite Gold Country, three located on the westside in the San Joaquin Valley and one on the east side of the Sierras. The four centers contain major air and rail connections to Yosemite Gold Country and serve as regional trade and population centers for the region as a whole. These four centers are:
- Fresno, to the south along the Hwy 99 and 41 routes in into the region.
- Merced, to the west, connecting Hwy 99 with Hwy 140 into the region.
- Modesto, to the west, connecting Hwy 99 with Hwy 132 and 120 into the region.
- Bishop, to the east, connecting Hwy 395 and 120 (east) into the region.
